Laurence Lant almost made it out of the US
My class has read of Janet Mello who stole $107 M over seven years at Fort Sam. Apparently her success did not escape the notice of Laurence Lant. He has bought an airline ticket intending to go to Paris and then his home country in Africa.
In 2021 I accepted a plaque from SA TXCPA for Distinguished Service in delivering Continuing Education. I commented that the great thing about fraud reporting is that I never run out of new material. Here is a perfect example of that.
