Stocks Fall, Oil Soars

7/23/2026 The OEX SP 100 declined 1.64% today. Chart import is still not working. All major stocks indexes declined today, energy remains on balance better with crude oil up $4.50 today. While I gave u[ on calling a market top, this is at least a start. NOtably the day, Feb 28, Trump started the Iran attacks, the 10 eyar Treasury note was just under 4%. today it is about 4.65%. the markets are taking notice. I just heard Trump say that Iran has not felt enough pain. We shall see who feels the pain. Persian history dates several thousand years. I doubt a few bombing attacks will topple the country. Again all this looks like 1973-74, high energy prices and increasing interest rates. The wonderful hedge of gold fell $100 and silver $2.50, right along with stocks. Metals do what they want.
